KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI September 20, 2011 – Fine-art fetish photographer Dirk Hooper debuts his first American solo show in over five years in Kansas City, Missouri.  “Candychrome” represents new work by Dirk Hooper featuring recent fetish photography.  The MRP Gallery in downtown Kansas City Missouri will host the opening of the show on Friday, October 7th.

“Candychrome” focuses on Dirk Hooper’s recent fetish photography, including work with alternative models, professional dominatrix and bondage artists.  Hooper said, “While I’ve been active in group shows, or events with fine-art or erotic artwork, this is a long-overdue chance to offer a comprehensive look at the work I’m known for best.”  Fans of Hooper’s work may have seen a few pieces over the years but this show offers something different, “There will be new photography from Toxic Goddess, personal work, editorial pieces and a lot of photos that have never been seen anywhere before.  I’m also anxious to show these photos as large gallery prints, which is the way they were intended to be seen,” Hooper explained.

Opening night for “Candychrome” will have appearances by Dirk Hooper and some of the alternative models, bondage models and professional dominatrix who appear in the photos, dressed to impress.  There will be a live broadcast of “The Fetish Show” radio program featuring host Princess Zoe, and offering complete coverage, including video, of the festivities.  Bondage artists Janet Ryan and Manator will be presenting a live bondage demonstration.

Opening night for “Candychrome” will be on October 7th, 2011 at 7pm to 10pm at the MRP Gallery in Kansas City, Missouri.  Admittance is free.  There will be refreshments available for visitors.  Guests are encouraged to wear fetish-style clothing, cosplay outfits or even formal dress, but it’s certainly not required.  Due to the nature of the work, only 18 and older will be allowed to attend.  The MRP Gallery is located South of 18th Street, between Grand and McGee and has an alley entrance.
