WEBWIRE

Valhalla, NY, September 9, 2011 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division today announced its participation in the Print Buyers International (PBI) Print & Media Conference, to be held during the annual Graph Expo trade exhibition, September 12 – 14, 2011, at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois.

PBI focuses on the needs of people who work with, or have responsibility for purchasing print and other media, including print buyers, print production specialists, graphic designers, and marketing pros.

“We are very pleased to have Fujifilm with us at this year’s conference,” said Margie Dana, founder of Print Buyers International.  “Fujifilm’s expertise in color and the depth of their experience in the commercial print market are of great value to our members.  As a key sponsor of our event this year, Fujifilm will be able to meet with our attendees face-to-face and discuss the products and services they offer to help print buyers do their best.”

Fujifilm will sponsor the conference’s “kickoff” session, a breakfast keynote address by Joe Pulizzi, leading author, speaker, and strategist in content marketing, on Tuesday, September 13th at 8:45 am.  Fujifilm will also take part in the Networking Sponsor Center, an area designed to present, inform, and educate conference attendees.  Fujifilm will highlight the FUJIFILM Digital Inkjet J Press 720, a revolutionary product defining a new category within the commercial printing industry.  The J Press 720 is the first sheet-fed inkjet printing press for printing offset quality commercial printing using the combination of FUJIFILM Dimatix Samba print head technology and the paper handling characteristics of a conventional sheet-fed press.  The J Press 720 offers print buyers a new option for designing and producing short-run, customized commercial printing using Fujifilm inkjet technology that is on par, and in many cases, beyond offset quality.  The inkjet solution form Fujifilm simultaneously allows print buyers the flexibility and versatility of utilizing standard offset stocks and finishing characteristics associated with the durability and performance of an offset sheet.

“The J Press 720 is a pressroom production device with the paper handling capability and print quality capable of meeting the demands of the most discriminating print buyer,” according to Stephen Sanker, director Inkjet Presses, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division.  “There is pressure on print buyers to find a high-quality, cost-effective solution without compromising quality or service levels,” Sanker continued.  “We believe that once they see the quality produced by the J Press 720, they’ll have found that solution in a much more eco-friendly process.”

Fujifilm Graphic Systems Division will present a wide range of products at the Graph Expo 2011 show, in booth #627, including ColorPath Verified color management software to ensure color consistency across all devices, and the new Inca Onset S40 wide format inkjet press, the latest model in the industry-leading Inca Onset line.
