KESO to install locking systems at all Kaufland hypermarkets

KESO, a member of the ASSA ABLOY Group, has been awarded a contract to equip all Kaufland hypermarkets in Europe with high-end KESO locking systems.

Thirty-five Kaufland hypermarkets in Germany already use the KESO K 4000S Omega mechanical locking system, which offers the perfect combination of Swiss quality and locking precision. The plan is for KESO, through its offices in Buchholz, Lower Saxony, to start equipping other Kaufland locations across Europe immediately. The work will be performed either by KESO employees or selected trade specialists.

Quality, security and service – all in the interest of satisfying the customer – are values shared by both Kaufland, one of the top five grocery businesses in Europe, and KESO.

Kaufland offers a large variety of products, ranging from high-quality wine, award-wining meat products, fresh fruit and vegetables through organic and conventional foodstuffs, cleaning products and electrical goods. In all, the chain sells up to 60,000 different products and a comprehensive choice of services in more than 1,000 self-service hypermarkets and discount stores in Germany, Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

The retail giant will now benefit from the same high levels of service it offers its customers. KESO will manage the project from start to finish, overseeing everything from taking measurements in stores and producing lock plans through to locking system installation and inspection.

Between 80 and 100 KESO 4000 S Omega cylinders will be installed at each Kaufland hypermarket, providing a future-proof locking solution.

“As KESO products are compatible with one another, mechatronic elements can be incorporated at a later stage whenever required,” explains Jörn Both, Branch Manager and the authorized KESO representative in Germany. “This ensures that our locking system can be extended at any time to meet future requirements in individual Kaufland stores.”
