Coastal Community Church Hosts Largest Egg Hunt With Over 55,000 Eggs Along with Free Food And Fun
Coconut Creek, Fl.--Following the huge success of the Backpacks or Bust campaign in August 2010, where South Florida pastor TJ McCormick from Coastal Community Church held himself hostage up in the air using a scissor lift for over 56 hours until he received over $4,000 in donations to help prepare under privileged kids that attend a local middle school in Broward County. The campaign was a huge success that created a press storm nationwide. It was a great way to giveback to the community and garnish a lot of attention to the efforts that Coastal Community is putting forth inside of South Florida.
TJ McCormick is at it again, this time he is going for broke with Easter Eggs. In an effort to create buzz in Coconut Creek, FL, Coastal Community Church is hosting their first annual EGGSTRAVAGANZA, South Florida’s largest FREE egg hunt on Saturday, April 16th (registration begins at 10am) at Monarch High School in Coconut Creek, FL. The event will have over 55,000 eggs for children to hunt in age appropriate groupings. This family event packed with all kinds of entertainment and fun. Coastal Community Church is taking care of bounce houses, drinks, food and much much more at no charge to the public. Prizes are being offered in each age grouping, as well as an opportunity for a mega prize when a family pre-registers online at http://www.eggstravaganza.org.
“Giving back is in my blood. This is what fuels me. I enjoy seeing smiles on peoples’ faces. Nothing thrills me more than to share the love of Christ with people and sometimes that means for me to get out of my comfort zone and do something really over the top for people,” said TJ McCormick, Pastor of Coastal Community Church. “I believe a lot of times we can get complacent. In my opinion, there is no time for that. We live in a busy world. A world that is dominated by pressure to perform and the never ending race of life to be accepted. Coastal Community Church understands that and caters to the everyday person. The one that just needs someone to care about them no matter what they have been through in the past. This is what we are doing on April 16th. We are giving back to our community and providing a place for all families to come out and have a great time for free!”
