Poetry Competition Offers Anthology Publication

WEBWIRE

Poets who can wax lyrical on the subject of spring have a great opportunity of winning cash prizes in Writelink’s Spring Fever Poetry Contest (http://www.writelink.co.uk/springfever), and seeing their work published in a print anthology.

“We published an anthology of last year’s winning entries which proved so popular that we have decided to do the same again this year. The anthology will consist of all the contest poetry which makes the top 20. Each poem will be illustrated with a photograph and the anthology will be available for sale through the competition website,” said contest organisers.

In addition, cash prizes of £50, £30 and £20 will be awarded to the top three poems and as the competition takes place online, all poems are open for voting and commenting.

“This is a great way for a poet to gain valuable feed back on their work and also share poems with a wider audience. All too often a poet submits to a poetry contest and sees their work disappear down a literary black hole from which it never emerges. Our poetry competition is designed to give all poets the opportunity to at least gain some exposure for their work,” Added the organisers.

Anyone wanting to get ahead of the game and see what they are up against can see current entries to the competition at http://www.writelink.co.uk/springfever
