Calgary, AB - January 28, 2011 – Antenna Systems is pleased to announce the release of the Professional Grade 1.4 GHz Yagi antennas, designed to encompass frequencies from 1350 to 1454 MHz.

Access to licensed spectrum has been a critical “missing link” in planning and implementing wireless Smart Grid communications for backhaul applications and last-mile access. The need for secure data networks for electric, gas and water utilities, as well as public service organizations seeking to avoid potential problems of shared frequencies for mission-critical applications has been the driver for alternative licensed bands.

“In the PRO1350 Yagis,” continued Tootle, ”system operators now have an upgrade option not previously available in the market: a durable, wideband Yagi with excellent performance characteristics.”

The PRO1350 is available in two gain versions, both with an operating frequency of 1350-1454 MHz: 1. PRO1350-7 is a 3 element Yagi antenna with 7 dBi gain 2. PRO1350-10 is a 7 element unit with 10 dBi gain.
