Imtech acquires Swiss company Penta and strengthens European ICT position

Gouda - Imtech N.V. (technical services provider in Europe) announces the acquisition of the Swiss ICT (Information and Communication Technology) specialist Penta (Penta Group Holding AG). With this acquisition, Imtech strengthens its position in the growing Swiss ICT market for managed services. Employing a staff of 20, Penta realises an annual revenue of over 4 million euro. The acquisition contributes directly to the earnings per share.

Established in 1998, Penta has developed over the past decade into a strong player in the Swiss market for managed services. This involves services that are focused on making ICT (Information and Communication Technology) capacity available – either remotely or in-house – to clients on the basis of permanent (24/7), high-quality and scaleable performance. Synergy
Imtech is already a strong player in Switzerland via its ICT business unit Fritz und Macziol. Fritz und Macziol and Penta are well-acquainted with one another and have already been working together intensively for many years. Besides an increase in scale, the existing services portfolio will be considerably strengthened in terms of the managed services competence. In addition, the geographic spread will be expanded, as Penta is active in different regions to those covered by Fritz und Macziol. And finally, the two companies’ client portfolios complement each other. There is a strong increase in the demand for managed services in Switzerland. With the acquisition of Penta, Imtech will be actively responding to this growing demand.
