Trainees from Farleys Solicitors Offer Advice at Manchester Law Fair
Legal trainees from Farleys Solicitors in Manchester gave up their time this week to offer advice to aspiring solicitors in the ‘Trainee Zone’ at Manchester Law Fair. The law fair, which is one of the largest in the UK, was held at Manchester Central on 16th November.
Two trainees from Farleys held a stand in the fair’s Trainee Zone, where they advised current law students on all aspects of being a legal trainee – answering questions regarding the application process, the interview process and their day to day work as a legal trainee.
Jonathan Bridge, Training Principal at Farleys Solicitors comments on Farleys’ attendance at the fair:
“It is important to us, as a firm, to give back and offer advice to those students who are currently undertaking their legal studies. Competition for training contracts at solicitors firms is higher than ever – and we know that the application process can be extremely daunting.
“Attending events such as the Manchester Law Fair, where we can offer advice to aspiring solicitors to help them in their applications, whether or not they are looking at Farleys as a potential employer, allows us to assist students at such a critical time in their legal career”.
As an additional helping hand for law students, Farleys Solicitors have provided a number of tips for those undertaking the training contract application process on their website. These tips can be accessed at http://www.farleys.com/top-tips-for-training-contract-applications.html and come directly from Jonathan Bridge, who is responsible for the interview process and appointing of the firm’s trainees.
