Locally owned, Saz’s Becomes Barbecue Partner of the Green Bay Packers

Milwaukee, WI – Saz’s, known for award winning ribs and festival famous food, will now be recognized as Barbecue Partner of the Green Bay Packers. Fans will be able to find Saz’s barbecue sauces, barbecued baby back pork ribs and barbecued pork meat at local grocers with a special label designating Saz’s as “Barbecue Partner of the Green Bay Packers.”

Fans can now purchase Saz’s Original, Vidalia® Onion and Sassy flavors of Barbecue Sauce at the Packer Pro Shop. Saz’s barbecue sauces are also featured at Lambeau Field condiment stations.

Saz’s festival famous barbecued pork sandwiches will be served at Curly’s Pub at Lambeau Field. Curly’s is open to the public daily and is known as the only place where fans can eat what the players are eating. Saz’s Pork Sandwiches have been a favorite at Saz’s restaurant in Milwaukee as well as at summer festivals and events including Summerfest and Wisconsin State Fair.

“Naturally, as a local Wisconsin company, and personally a life-long Packer fan, we are thrilled with this new partnership,” stated Steve Sazama, founder and owner of Saz’s. “Last season we became the food and beverage provider for the Tundra Tailgate Zone at Lambeau Field, and we welcome the opportunity to expand our association with this phenomenal organization,” Sazama continued.

Saz’s began the retail division in 1992, delivering his famous Original Recipe Barbecue Sauce to grocers’ shelves. Saz’s barbecue sauces are now available at local grocers in handy 28-ounce bottles. According to Saz’s Catering Director, Joe Brueggemann, the TTZ has a full service bar with cocktails, wine and beer – featuring MillerCoors Brewing products. “It’s an energetic atmosphere and our menus have something for everyone. The venue offers fans a great outdoor dining area in addition to the main tent and we also provide a MVP tent for VIP ticket holders that’s reserved for private parties,” stated Brueggemann. Each week features a live band as well as Packer alumni autograph sessions and other activities that start about 4 hours before the game. Fans do not need a game ticket to enter the TTZ and they can enjoy comfortable climate controlled tents equipped with a large projection TV and more than 15 Plasma Screens. The TTZ is also open an hour after the game (later on noon game days), offering a great alternative to traffic delays.
