Chevrolet Rolls With The Fireball Run To Recover Missing Children

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS ORLANDO, Fla. – July 15, 2010 – Fireball Run Adventurally®, America’s favorite motorsport rally, announced today that Chevrolet is the “Official Vehicle of the 2010 Fireball Run Adventurally and Its’ Race to Recover America’s Missing Children”.

The 2010 Fireball Run event theme celebrates the American Hero, and featured in the rally is a team of Active duty Military representing Yellow Ribbon America. “Overall, the Fireball Run Adventurally series is an epic motoring event that celebrates the American landscape. The addition of an iconic American automotive brand like Chevrolet is perfect,” said Natalie Zimmerman, Organizer of the Fireball Run. “Teaming with Chevrolet gives the Fireball Run a massive opportunity to increase visibility of the rally which in turn increases our chance of aiding in the recovery of another missing child.”

Headquartered out of Universal Studios Florida, and sanctioned by United States Auto Club Racing, the Fireball Run Adventurally is an “Amazing Race meets motorsports” event combining an interactive game with race track competitions. Teams solve clues and complete missions in order to score points and safely navigate the country. The rally traverses through 18 cities, over eight days and 3500 miles. Fireball Run teams are comprised of business leaders each representing their company.

While networking and having fun, teams also participate in the nation’s largest missing child recovery effort; The Race to Recover America’s Missing Children, a massive million dollar awareness campaign for the Klaas Kids foundation. Each team is assigned a missing child. The mission; distribute posters along the entire 3500 mile route to aid in the child’s recovery. To date, the Fireball Run has contributed to the recovery of 35 missing children. It is the largest “active” recovery effort in history for missing and abducted children. Participating as “Team Polly” is Klaas Kids founder and CNN commentator, Marc Klaas.

The festivities start September 23rd in Henderson Nevada then adventure to Williams (Arizona), Gallup (New Mexico), Lubbock (Texas), Dodge City (Kansas), Chesterfield (Missouri), Cedar Rapids (Iowa), finally finishing in Galena, Illinois on October 2nd.
