Audio Visual Company Donates Expertise to Pink and Black Tie Gala

(Brooklyn, NY) Lights, Cameras, Fundraise! McCann Systems donated their audio visual expertise to the American Cancer Society’s second annual Pink & Black Tie Gala held at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, NY, on the evening of May 6th, 2010.

The Pink & Black Tie Gala honored the Legends and Luminaries who have contributed to Brooklyn’s rich entertainment, cultural, and business communities. From an elegant cocktail party to a spectacular auction, from gourmet dining to a stylish tribute to Brooklyn’s achievements on stage and screen – the second annual Pink & Black Tie Gala was a party to remember.

For the second year, the Gala was hosted by Brooklyn’s own fashion expert Stacy London of TLC’s ’What Not to Wear’. Pop singer Tina Sugandh and internationally acclaimed spinner DJ Eloy. ’History Detectives’’ Elyse Luray returned as the celebrity auctioneer.
McCann Systems added to the evening’s festivities by donating all audio and visual rental equipment and providing on-site AV specialists. To ensure the evening’s entertainment, McCann Systems brought in and installed 2 Christie projectors and stands, 2 Da-Lite screens, all microphones, stands, speakers and sub-woofers. Two Audio Visual Specialists remained on-site to oversee all AV presentations and staging. In addition to being an innovative design-build audio visual firm, McCann Systems also offers professional AV staffing and rental services.

The Gala Committee raised $225,000 to support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving efforts in research, education, advocacy, and patient and family services. The Brooklyn Regional Office of the American Cancer Society meets the complex and challenging needs of more than 3,400 families in the borough facing cancer this year with free, comprehensive services and referrals.
