WDC Media News -- LOS ANGELES (May 11, 2009) --- It will be a busy week at Cable Show 2010 for Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the world’s largest religious broadcaster. With the introduction of two new applications that allow viewers to receive ten of TBN’s global networks on their i-Pods and i-Pads, and with the recent nationwide expansion of its 24-hour HD network, it’s easy to see why TBN is America’s premier faith and family network.

“We live in a mobile society, where people just don’t sit down and watch TV at home as much anymore,” said Paul Crouch Jr., TBN’s Chief of Staff. “But they still want access to their favorite programs, and we’ve developed apps for both the i-Pod and the i-Pad that let them watch all of TBN’s channels at home, at work, on the road, or wherever they are.”

The TBN apps can be installed on both devises for free by logging on to Apple’s online store and typing in “TBN.” The download is automatic and gives users immediate access to ten of the network’s channels, including TBN, America’s most popular inspirational channel, the Church Channel, the JCTV youth network, Smile of a Child kids network, TBN Enlace USA Spanish language network, the Arabic language Healing Channel, and Nejat TV in Farsi.

TBN was one of the first inspirational networks to introduce a high-definition channel, and will use the Cable Show to highlight the expansion of TBN-HD to 24-hour nationwide broadcast. “For the past several years we’ve stayed ahead of the curve in introducing and expanding HD programming on TBN,” said Bob Higley, TBN’s Vice President for cable and satellite relations. “With TBN-HD, we’re taking the lead in offering the best in inspirational and family-friendly programming in high definition, 24 hours every day.”

Higley, who will be on hand throughout the Cable Show at TBN Booth 2001, invites attendees to stop by and get a hands-on demonstration of TBN’s i-Pod and i-Pad apps, take a first-hand look at TBN-HD’s phenomenal program quality on a giant 55-inch plasma screen, and register for a free i-Pad, which TBN will be giving away at the conclusion of the show.

He also noted that Cable Show attendees are invited to a special breakfast, co-sponsored by TBN and the group Christians in Communications, May 12th at 7:30 a.m. at J.W. Marriott Plaza Room No. 1. The special guest speaker will be film and television star Mr. T, a long-time friend and supporter of inspirational television. “With Mr. T on hand, we’re expecting an exciting time,” said Higley. “It will be a great way to start your morning.”

Although reservations for the breakfast are not required, it is recommended that attendees arrive early as seating is limited. A suggested donation of $50.00 is payable at the door. All credit cards are accepted.
