FinePix HS10 Digital Camera Cited as “Best Super Zoom Camera” and
FinePix REAL 3D Technology Honored as “Best Imaging Innovation”

Valhalla, N.Y., May 5, 2010 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation today announced that the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) has awarded FUJIFILM with two TIPA 2010 Awards. The best imaging products of 2010 were voted on at the Technical Image Press Association General Assembly held earlier this month in New York City. TIPA is a global association consisting of 28 different photo and imaging magazines from 13 countries.

The FinePix HS10 digital camera was named “Best Super Zoom Camera.” According to TIPA, “Serious photographers wanting the versatility and performance of an SLR system without the bulk or expense now have the perfect solution in the shape of the Fujifilm FinePix HS10.”

The latest addition to Fujifilm’s award-winning range of big zoom ‘bridge’ cameras, the FinePix HS10 offers an unprecedented feature set that combines a powerful Fujinon 30x (24-720mm equivalent) manual optical zoom lens with a BSI CMOS sensor, which delivers image quality and high speed benefits including full HD video at 1080p.

For the second year in a row, Fujifilm won “Best Imaging Innovation,” this time for its FinePix REAL 3D Technology. Introduced globally by FUJIFILM Corporation last summer, the FinePix REAL 3D system is Fujifilm’s three dimensional (3D) digital imaging system that captures realistic 3D still photographs and movies. Featuring the newly developed FinePix REAL 3D Lens System, the W1 3D camera has dual Fujinon lenses that layer together two images; the V1 digital 3D viewer features Fujifilm’s newly developed 3D/2D display 8.0-inch LCD panel; and Fujifilm has integrated high precision 3D prints with lenticular sheets, resulting in the ability to produce high resolution 3D images that users can enjoy without special 3D glasses.

TIPA judges said, “Fujifilm´s 3D technology offers an uncomplicated way for consumers to create and perceive 3D images and movies. Advanced 3D digital shooting is as easy as 2D photography with the FinePix REAL 3D W1 camera.”
