Bids "Soar" for Rare 1940 Superman Ring Listed to Sell on eBay
WhatSellsBest.com, a website tracking rare auction items listed to sell on eBay, is reporting bids have passed $10,000 on Day Four of a Seven Day auction for a rare 1940 Superman Ring.
The ring, awarded in 1940 by National Periodical Publications, was given as a prize to 1,600 “Supermen of America” club members. According to experts, only 20 rings are known to exist today.
James Massey, publisher of WhatSellsBest.com, says; “Superman Memorabilia seems to be hot with the first (1938) Superman comic selling for million dollars (on an comic auction site) last month. Because of the rings rarity, it’s going to be interesting to see how high the bids go" (The auction ends March 15)
