Sail Caribbean’s Teen Divers get the PADI eLearning Advantage

Sail Caribbean (http://www.sailcaribbean.com) is proud to be a member of the largest and most respected scuba training organization in the world - The Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). PADI scuba certifications are recognized and accepted virtually anywhere you go. Sail Caribbean is the only teen scuba camp that maintains a dive facility in operation all year round. Sail Caribbean Divers has earned the highest possible dive center rating – a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Dive Center. PADI recognizes their history of providing quality dive education and services to scuba enthusiasts of all ages and levels, from beginners to diving professionals.

Sail Caribbean is on the fast track with eLearning for teens who want to become Open Water Divers, the first scuba certification level. eLearning is an online course developed by PADI. It includes interactive presentations with video, audio, pictures and reading. The course is accessible anywhere an internet connection is available, from home or on the road, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. This makes it convenient to complete the non-diving scuba lessons before the Sail Caribbean summer program starts. The course takes an average of 6-8 hours, and can be divided into several separate learning sessions to fit the student’s schedule. Parents can oversee the sessions and assist when there are special needs. There isn’t any pressure and everyone can progress at a pace that’s most comfortable for them.

The online course presents the material in an “easy to use” manner. The short and frequent quizzes provide instant feedback. Students can gauge their progress and review material they may have missed. The eLearning system ensures that the information is thoroughly understood. Sail Caribbean provides one-on-one attention through the process because their scuba instructors are on call by email to answer questions teen divers may have along the way.

When students arrive in the Caribbean with class work behind them, there is plenty of time to spend on the skills required to become qualified, capable, and safe diver. With e-Learning, scuba time in the Caribbean will be ‘in the water’ instead of ‘in the classroom’.
