Carlisle, PA – February 24, 2010 – Z-Band is pleased to announce that their product line is now available through the GSA schedule and on the GSA Advantage website. Their key product offerings are the “HD GigaBUD” and “HD GigaBOB” which together make up the Z-Band Video Distribution System.

The Z-Band System is designed to enhance and simplify the video experience to the installer and end- user. The System electronically adjusts and balances the video signals and insures high quality video to over 14,000 TV’s from a single video input source. Z-Band’s System is unique in its ability to deliver the full bandwidth of RF video (Analog, Standard Definition, and High Definition) as well as IP Video, over a full 100 meters of CAT 6 cabling vs. traditional coax, as specified in the TIA/EIA 568 cabling standards. In addition to the distribution of RF video and IP video, the Z-Band system also facilitates a return path for remote video generation and for IP/FSK/DOCSIS 3.0 interactive software control for video-on-demand signals.

ChoiceComm, LLC of Mount Airy, MD has placed Z-Band on their GSA schedule. ChoiceComm’s owner, Woody Story has shown enthusiastic support for the Z-Band product and wanted to make it easier for Government agencies to acquire the Z-Band System. Z-Band is viewed as a reliable video distribution system within the U.S. Government and facilities, giving IT operations managers the ability to bridge the void between legacy coax systems and going full IP. “Over the past five years we have seen a lot of traction in the government and military sector, there is recognition that we provide a great video distribution solution. We’ve experienced significant repeat business from Federal agencies and have seen a rapid increase in our use in the military sector as well”, said Amy Loder, Z-Band’s Marketing Manager.

According to Dan Helfrick, Director of Sales for Government Z-Band’s focus on customer service is a great asset to Government agencies. “We focus on the whole picture, providing complimentary design and technical support to our customers. When needed, we also have commissioning services where Z-Band engineers are on-site to directly support the installer. Being part of the GSA schedule provides additional benefits to our customers as well including fixed pricing for two year periods, shorter lead times in acquiring the product, and reduced administrative costs.”

ChoiceComm’s GSA number is GS-35F-0593R.
