Orbis Technology Enhances Live Betting in the eGaming Industry with the Launch of LiveOdds

Paddy Power is the first to adopt the latest technology from Orbis to fundamentally change customer interaction online through cutting edge product innovation

Orbis Technology Ltd, the world’s leading provider of online gaming and betting software, is proud to announce the successful launch of LiveOdds™. Now live on the OpenBet™ platform, this new technology boasts the ability to push live pricing and event updates directly to customers’ web pages and betslips. With LiveOdds, operators do not need to source pre-packaged live betting applications but can build and design their own – using their technology of choice – and have LiveOdds stream price updates as they happen.

At the core of LiveOdds is the ability to stream data directly from the database to the players’ screen in real time, without the need to refresh. LiveOdds is built on Orbis’ new LiveServ™ technology which enables the delivery of live messages, content and data directly to customers. As a pivotal element of OpenBet, LiveServ has been designed as a highly scalable and flexible ‘push’ server which provides support for the widest range of browsers and front-end technologies.

LiveChatroom™, the second product based on the LiveServ technology, is already in the latter stages of development and opens up LiveServ to two-way traffic. Using LiveChatroom operators can connect customers on their sites through chat rooms and are able to set up private conversations for customer support. LiveChatroom can be used anywhere on an operator’s site, from the home page to live betting portals, through to side panels on fixed-odds games. LiveChatroom connects customers to a community - enhancing the experience and improving customer retention.

Paddy Power is the first operator to adopt this new technology, marking the latest development in their longstanding partnership with Orbis and its world leading OpenBet software.

John O’Donnell, CTO, Paddy Power, comments; “At paddypower.com we pride ourselves on offering cutting edge product innovation and industry leading service levels to our customers. LiveServ delivers a step-change in how we present product information and our unique money back value propositions. It is a significant addition to the Orbis stable of products and will fundamentally change all aspects of our customer‘s interaction with www.paddypower.com

“Developing the ultimate flexibility and seamless integration of the very best in betting technology is the name of the game at Orbis, and LiveServ is no exception.” Comments Pete Boyle, CTO of Orbis Technology Ltd; “By providing operators with the ability to stream live content in real time and open up more channels of communication amongst customers with a product like LiveChatroom, we are confident that LiveServ and its new products will change the face of live betting.’
