Gametime Fans Can Bring Home a 37-inch HDTV and Full Party Meal for Under $500

BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Walmart (NYSE: WMT) announced today that it is defending wallets on complete gametime solutions with new savings on HDTVs and food for the annual pigskin party. This week for less than $500 customers can bring home a 1080p Sanyo 37-inch LCD TV and load up on a range of items to feed a party of eight. This “Gametime” event includes Rollbacks of $100, $200 and even $300 on select HDTVs and values on frozen appetizers, a supreme party tray and more.

A New TV for the Big Game: This time of year is typically a big season for HDTV shopping as moms and families get ready for sports viewing – from football and basketball to the winter games. Walmart is dispelling any myths that HDTV prices spike higher this time of year with a full line of new HDTV savings. The $448 Sanyo LCD TV is only one example of a wide assortment of HDTV values available now:

* Vizio 55-inch 1080p LCD TV – $1,298 (save $200)
* Vizio 47-inch 1080p LCD TV – $898 (save $100)
* Sony 46-inch Bravia 1080p LCD TV – $778 (save $300)

Installation Services: Since last fall, Walmart has offered a new, simple program for easy HDTV installation, as well as Home Theater and PC installation, from N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc., the nation’s leading in-home service provider for electronics. HDTV Installation packages can be purchased at Walmart based upon a customer’s need, starting at $99 for basic HDTV setup including consultation and an after setup tutorial from a professional installer. In addition to having installation service available for purchase in its electronics department, Walmart also has increased its assortment of HDMI cables and TV wall mounts to complement the variety of new HDTV units carried.

Complete Gametime Feast for Eight for as low as $44: No football party would be complete without getting the barbecue fired up. This year one in eight moms plans to host a football party and one in five plans to attend a party for the big game.2 To commemorate the 44th pro-football championship, Walmart is offering gametime staples for eight, including hot dogs, appetizers and more, for as low as $44.
