Annapolis Ford Dealer Preston Excited for 2010 North American Car and Truck; the 2010 Fusion Hybrid and 2010 Transit Connect

Maryland Delaware Ford consumers now have another reason to take another look at Ford. Not only has Ford proven itself in a tough economy of 2009, Ford now has earned two more titles. The titles 2010 North American Car of the Year and 2010 North American Truck of the Year now belong to the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and the 2010 Ford Transit Connect. These titles were presented at the North American International Auto Show. At Detroit Auto Show about 50 American and Canadian automotive journalists took the time and named the 2010 Fusion Hybrid and 2010 Transit Connect the 2010 North American Car and Truck of the Year.

This is only the 3rd time that one automotive manufacturer has claimed both the car and truck North American awards in the 17 years that the two awards have been around. The 2010 Fusion Hybrid beat out the 2010 Buick LaCrosse and the 2010 Volkswagen Golf GTI for the car title. The 2010 Transit Connect beat out the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox and the 2010 Subaru Outback for the truck title.

Throughout 2009 Ford proved that they didn’t need bailout money, could compete with the Asian import brands, and produce some amazing quality products,” says Chad Todd, Preston Ford Sales Manager. Last year Preston Ford saw more than 12% growth with their Ford brands and in the last month of the 2009 year posted a 56% sales growth from the previous year in December.

Ford Motor Company itself posted a 33% sales increase last December and has also received the Motor Trend Car of the Year award with the 2010 Ford Fusion.
