Based on the newest Intel® technology, Fujitsu’s new models provide high-performance and efficiency

Munich/Tokyo, Fujitsu today unveils the new notebook, PC and workstation portfolios, timed to market with Intel’s latest technology: the 2010 Intel® Core™ i3/i5/i7 processors released at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) today. With fifteen new products in the client portfolio, Fujitsu’s newest LIFEBOOK notebooks, ESPRIMO PCs and CELSIUS workstations offer faster performance, greater efficiency and improved security features.

Companies will see a dramatic increase in speed, efficiency and reliability, thanks to the state-of-the-art features of Fujitsu’s new portfolios. Equipped with the newest Intel technology, Fujitsu’s notebooks, PCs and workstations offer intelligent performance and are easy to manage and configure. Intel’s Hyper-threading Technology allows each processor core to work on two tasks at the same time while Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology automatically speeds up the processor when the user’s workload requires extra performance. Sophisticated new management technology allows businesses to easily maintain even unresponsive computers with tools such as remote configuration, diagnosis, isolation, and repair.

Peter Gleissner, Director Sales MNC EMEA, Managing Director Intel GmbH, says: “The 2010 Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors and Intel’s vPro technology provide a major leap forward in performance. Fujitsu captures these new benefits immediately with powerful new models that are ready right at the start for Intel’s new technology. From Fujitsu’s compact and powerful LIFBOOK notebooks to the efficient ESPRIMO PCs and CELSIUS workstations, the new models employ the power of Intel’s processors and vPro technology so that end-users benefit from high performance and efficiency as well as smarter security and manageability.”

Seven new LIFEBOOK Notebooks

Fujitsu launches seven new LIFEBOOK notebook models, meeting a range of user requirements. Five new models have been introduced into the superior and advanced lines: the LIFEBOOK E780, LIFEBOOK S760, LIFEBOOK S710, LIFEBOOK P770 notebook and the LIFEBOOK T900 tablet PC. They offer high performance and are ideal for a wide range of office applications. The LIFEBOOK NH570 and LIFEBOOK AH550 are positioned in the all-round line and are perfect for standard home and office applications.

The new LIFEBOOK Series provides intelligent mobile performance with elegant new designs. Highlights include advanced security features, energy efficiency, manageability and performance. The LIFEBOOK S760 with its 13.3-inch display is a full performance notebook featuring an Intel® Core™ processor with vPro™ technology. Thanks to a low weight of only 1.6 kg and a battery runtime of up to eight hours, it offers convenient portability and hours of comfortable productivity. A new anytime USB charger allows users to charge USB devices even when the notebook is switched off. If the LIFEBOOK S760 is lost or stolen, it can even disable itself or delete data thanks to Advanced Theft Protection (ATP). A sturdy design with spill-resistant keyboard, ShockSensor and magnesium lid also makes the LIFEBOOK S760 an excellent option for reliable high performance mobility.

Five new ESPRIMO PCs

Fujitsu’s new ESPRIMO PCs, powered by the latest Intel® Core™ processor with vPro™ technology help businesses reduce costs and increase efficiency thanks to intelligent performance, outstanding energy saving options and unique hardware-assisted security and manageability features. Five new ESPRIMO models are ready for the new Intel processors: ESPRIMO E9900 small form factor PC, ESPRIMO P9900 and ESPRIMO P1510 microtower PCs, ESPRIMO Q9000, ESPRIMO Q1510 mini PCs.

As a part of Fujitsu’s superior line, the ESPRIMO E/P9900 offers maximum choice and performance and can be configured to meet individual demands. Excellent energy saving features like 0-Watt functionality, the latest Intel technology, and up to 89 percent energy efficient power supply and switched monitor outlet make this system even more efficient. As a result, companies choosing the ESPRIMO E/P9900 can save 11 percent on energy costs compared to the previous PC generation. Additionally, all configurations are ENERGY STAR® 5.0 compliant. These systems also support the latest innovation from Intel: Turbo Boost Technology automatically speeds up the processor when the user’s workload requires extra performance, resulting in a smart, efficient and powerful system.

Three new CELSIUS Workstations

The new workstations in the CELSIUS family feature the latest Intel® Core™ i3/i5/i7 and Intel Xeon® processors, offering high performance and increased productivity. The CELSIUS W280 is equipped with the new Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors with vPro™ technology, while the CELSIUS W380 and CELSIUS W480 feature the new Intel Core i3/i5 and Intel Xeon processors and meet the needs of the all-round and advanced workstation lines respectively. All CELSIUS workstations offer market-leading low noise emission during operation, provide easy manageability, and are ISV certified, ensuring stability and speed in professional applications.

With the CELSIUS W280, Fujitsu offers a workstation that bridges the gap between PC and workstation. It is Fujitsu’s first compact, manageable workstation, providing the power of a workstation in a PC format. Intel vPro technology provides full remote system management, detailed system-health monitoring and notification, Trusted Platform Module (TPM) security and energy-efficiency. The sophisticated small-scale hardware design with air tunnels provides efficient airflow within the system for optimized thermal management and nearly silent operation, making for a quiet and spacious office environment.

Rajat Kakar, Vice President Clients Group at Fujitsu Technology Solutions says: “As one of the first in the industry to include Intel’s newest processors in our new client models right from the start, Fujitsu continues to build a portfolio that delivers high performance and efficiency. The new technology built into our latest notebooks, PCs, and workstations provides tangible cost-saving benefits to companies, including smart security, intelligent performance, and advanced manageability.”
