Progressive.com Retains Title as Best Car Insurance Web Site on Keynote Systems’ Q3 2009 Insurance Carrier Scorecard

MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio . — The results are in for Keynote® Systems’ Q3 2009 Insurance Carrier Scorecard, and once again progressive.com has been named best the Web site for buying and owning car insurance. Progressive has held the top spot on 14 of the last 15 scorecards published since 2000. The Insurance Carrier Scorecard is produced approximately twice a year by Keynote Competitive Research, the industry analysis group of Keynote® Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:KEYN).
To calculate scorecard results, Keynote analysts reviewed the Web sites of 12 well-known car insurance companies and interviewed company representatives. Sites were scored based on how well they completed specific tasks, such as quoting and buying insurance, within four categories: Functionality; Ease of use; Privacy and security; and Quality and availability.
