Photo Contest by The Weather Channel Helps Capture the Fall


Grand Prize Wins $2,500; Photos Will Be Featured On Air and Online

The Weather Channel Interactive welcomes the new season with a kick off of its own. From October 1-December 15, the “Capture the Fall” photography contest looks for outstanding photos submitted to The entries will be judged by a panel that includes TWC Storm Tracker Jim Cantore.

All winning photos will be featured on and on The Weather Channel network. One overall grand prize winner will receive $2,500, and winners in each of the four categories - weather, outdoors, people and animal/pets - will receive a 15-megapixel digital SLR camera and professional camera bag. In addition, four “people’s choice” award winners based on user votes will receive a Prize Pack.

Photos can be submitted via for a discounted rate of $10 per photo and $15 per series of photos (up to six) if entered before November 30. After November 30, the submission price will be $15 per photo and $20 per series of photos.

The Weather Channel will promote the contest through online banner ads at and on The Weather Channel network. The talented judging panel includes:
