The award winning iRubric is selected by the Indiana University School of Education to streamline their assessment processes and align with standards.

Irvine, CA: Reazon Systems, Inc., a leading provider of education technologies, announced the launching of its iRubric for Sakai integration in collaboration with the Indiana University School of Education for Fall 2009. iRubric Assessment and Standards Management System has been fully integrated with OnCourse CLE, Indiana University’s version of Sakai.

Through this integration effort, Indiana University’s OnCourse users can access iRubric from their familiar OnCourse environment, saving considerable time and effort in grading and the aggregation of detailed assessment data required for School of Education’s NCATE (National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education) accreditation reports.

“We are honored to have been selected by Indiana University as the system-of-choice to address their assessment and accreditation needs,” said Ramesh Sabetiashraf, the creator of iRubric Assessment and Standards Management System. “iRubric users have acknowledged our system as a comprehensive and easy-to-use platform that dramatically improves their productivity. The integration effort has been a continuation of our philosophy to provide the highest level of usability and efficiency to Sakai users and to realize an ideal learning experience for students.”

“Results from our program assessments indicated a need to provide detailed feedback to students using rubrics and in-depth reporting of key measures for analysis of overall teacher education programs effectiveness. iRubric proved to be an excellent solution for meeting these needs. The integration with our Oncourse management system allows us to leverage the extensive investment in our Sakai solution as well as provide an intuitive navigation to the iRubric system. The comprehensive and easy-to-use rubric building and scoring wizards are likely to be incorporated in many of our other courses. We are delighted with the effectiveness of the Reazon engineering team, its attention to detail, secure coding approach and overall responsiveness. We look forward to a continued collaboration.” said Larry Riss, CIO of School of Education at Indiana University.

iRubric, a recipient of a 2009 TechAmerica High-Tech Innovation Award, streamlines learning assessment and data analysis for educational institutions. By streamlining the assessment process and using its pioneering Click-to-Grade technology, iRubric enables educators and school administrators to effectively monitor student progress and learning outcomes. As a result, iRubric becomes an essential technology enabling educators to meet standards-based and authentic assessment guidelines set by accreditation, state and federal organizations. Being a part of RCampus Learning Management and ePortfolio systems, iRubric also allows tightly integrated assessments across a variety of learning activities. iRubric is available for licensing to the hundreds of institutions currently using Sakai, an open source learning management system originated at Indiana University and supported by Stanford University, University of Michigan and MIT.
