Ireland’s TasteKildare ready for week long Celebration of Local Flavours

Second Annual TasteKildare Festival takes place Sunday 23 August

TasteKildare is delighted to announce a bumper line up of top restaurateurs, artisan food producers and crafts makers for the second TasteKildare being held over the week of the 17th – 23rd August. This popular event culminates in a day of fabulous food and family fun at The K Club on Sunday 23 August from 12 noon until 5pm.

Everybody is invited to celebrate local food, chat with the producers and meet the top chefs from County Kildare, Ireland. Events include countywide tastings, free tours and demonstrations from the farms and workshop’s of participating food producers. Participating restaurants will offer a weeklong special Taste Kildare themed menu ‘Dine for €30 euros’.

On Sunday 23 August, Finbar Higgins, Executive Head Chef at The K Club will gather the cream of local food talent to create a food lovers paradise, set in the Victorian walled garden of the K Club.

David Russell, representing the organising committee is quoted as saying: “ This is an opportunity to see and taste the best of food and local produce from some of Ireland’s best food producers and restaurants.”

The Walled Victorian Garden is located in the grounds of the internationally acclaimed K Club Estate. Guests will be escorted from the car park through beautifully landscaped woodland to the Walled Victorian Garden. TasteKildare promises to be a day full of food and family fun, all set in the amazing grounds of Ireland’s Top Golf & Spa Resort.
