1MAGE Software announces Web Application for Document Management

1mage announced today that their popular web application V1A (view images anywhere) is available in Release 3.1 which supports a powerful adhoc workflow functionality called Circulation. The new release of this browser application software package written in AJAX using Tomcat web services can be used to inform authorized users of the 1mage document imaging system that they need to take action pertaining to certain documents within the document management system. The new release is supported on the most popular browsers including Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Firefox, and even Apple’s Safari browser application.

V1A is a very powerful and useful tool for any user at any location because being browser based does not require any software to be pre-loaded on the clients’ PC. In addition to circulating stored documents, the client can also notify participants through email that documents and/or images are awaiting their action. Other modules within V1A allow users at any location to save, index and store any document to the client’s enterprise host server, either through use of the 1mage Software as a Service (SaaS) model or on the company’s enterprise servers. Once stored within the document management system the files are available to any authorized person either in their original file format or converted on the fly to Adobe PDF.

1mage Software products are available for Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Linux and several flavors of UNIX including IBM AIX, HPUX and Sun Solaris.
