These are the P Zero compounds for Suzuka, Shanghai and Miami

Milan – WEBWIRE

Pirelli has revealed the nominated compounds available for the forthcoming grands prix in Japan, China and Miami, covering the period from April 7 to May 5. At Suzuka, one of the most demanding tracks for tyres in terms of loads, the three hardest compounds have unsurprisingly been nominated: C1 as Hard, C2 as Medium, and C3 as Soft. For the other two races, the middle trio of compounds has been selected: C2 as Hard, C3 as Medium, and C4 as Soft; even though these two tracks have very different characteristics.

Shanghai makes a comeback after a five-year absence. As a result, how the new generation of cars introduced in 2022 interacts with the track - which features a mix of different corners and one of the longest straights in F1 at about 1.2 kilometres - is something of an unknown. In Miami by contrast, on a track that is relatively gentle on tyres, the unknown will be represented by the ambient temperatures. These could be quite high at this time of year, leading to significant levels of thermal degradation.
