Arnell Evans is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Certified Anger Resolution Therapist, and formerly a Peer Recovery Support Specialist. Evans has worked for over 20 years in the fields of substance abuse counseling and co-dependency. She specializes in working with women, adolescents, and groups.

In addition to Licensed Chemical Dependency Counseling practices and procedures, Evans interacts with clients and all licensed professionals in the field. She possesses the skills and the talent to offer counseling in a fun, interactive, and engaging manner that appeals to teens. Through her innovative counseling practices, she assists teens in developing new coping strategies and leadership skills. In turn, these tools empower teens to navigate their daily lives and overcome their inevitable challenges. Her experience, skills, and talents continue to empower women to be the best they can be and to give their gifts and talents to their families and communities through the healing of childhood traumas.

Evans served as Program Manager for TAFS, an adolescent peer group organization, for years and worked with students as a substance use disorder (SUDS) Counselor at a local charter school and one of the local churches in the area. At the charter school, Evans served as a referral and substance misuse mental health counselor for four years, located in the heart of an area that was known as the 3rd most dangerous community in the country, according to a recent study. Currently, DWI/ xxvi DUI counselor. She grew up in a single-parent home and also with her grandparents when the Third Ward and Sunnyside community was safe to reside in.

Evans is active in her church and has facilitated Bible study classes in churches in her neighborhood for over 15 years. She was married for 23 years with five children and four grandchildren at the writing of this book, now a GG (grand mom to a beautiful boy, King).
