EMSL Analytical Opens New Laboratory across the Border in Canada

The new facility is part of EMSL’s calculated domestic and international expansion.

EMSL Analytical, the leader in providing cutting edge laboratory services and products, is proud to announce their continued strategic expansion with a June 2009 grand opening of a new Canadian laboratory. The new facility adds to the existing network of close to 40 EMSL and LA Testing locations, bringing dedicated local expertise from one of the nation’s largest laboratory networks to Canada.

Overseeing this new laboratory will be veteran industry professional Kevin Pang as the Laboratory Manager. Mr. Pang will oversea all daily laboratory operations and the new facility will also be used for various environmental products sales in the region. The grand opening of the new facility corresponds with the AIHce 2009 Conference being held in nearby Toronto.

“Opening a facility in Canada was a natural progression for us to give local service to our loyal Canadian clients,” reported Paul Cochrane, Director of Marketing at EMSL. “Bringing the local personal touch directly to our clients’ doorsteps has always been a hallmark of EMSL’s success and we look forward to opening additional facilities across Canada in the near future,” Mr. Cochrane went on to report.

Additional geographical expansion plans are currently underway at EMSL’s corporate headquarters. There is also a company wide push to expand the existing 500 employee strong workforce, which includes 19 Ph.D.s and several highly respected CIHs, to meet current and future client needs across North America.

The EMSL Toronto laboratory will begin analyzing samples in June, 2009 immediately after NVLAP accreditation is received for asbestos analysis.
