Leonard F. Griehs to Retire After Nearly 20-Year Campbell Career

CAMDEN, N.J., Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) today announced the appointment of Jennifer Driscoll, 43, as Vice President Investor Relations. Driscoll will report to Campbell’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, Craig Owens.

Driscoll succeeds Leonard F. Griehs, 62, who will retire at the end of July after a nearly 20-year career at Campbell. Griehs joined Campbell in 1990 and was named Vice President Investor Relations in 1996.

Driscoll will join Campbell in June 2009 and will work with Griehs to ensure a smooth transition.

Driscoll will serve as the primary liaison between Campbell and investors, analysts and other important stakeholders in the investment community. In the role, she will interact with Campbell’s executive leadership, including the Board of Directors, chief executive officer, chief financial officer and others.

Owens said, “Jennifer Driscoll brings a wealth of experience to the role. Throughout her career, she has consistently created value for the organizations at which she worked. She will be a welcome addition to our Finance team. I fully anticipate a smooth transition due to our strong Finance organization. I also want to acknowledge Len’s many contributions to Campbell through the years.”

Commenting on Griehs’s departure, Douglas R. Conant, Campbell’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “Len Griehs will leave a lasting legacy on Campbell. He has made important contributions to our company, many of which pre-date my arrival. Since I became CEO in 2001, Len has been a partner and trusted advisor. He also has been a friend. I wish Len and his wife Gretchen and their family all the best as they embark on a new chapter in their lives. Len has truly made a difference at Campbell. He will be greatly missed.”

Driscoll has more than 20 years of finance and communications experience. Since 2006, she served as Vice President of Investor Relations at Best Buy Co., which she joined in 2001 as Director of Investor Relations. During her time at Best Buy, Driscoll increased sell side analyst coverage of the company by 60 percent and earned recognition from IR Magazine as one of the top 100 investor relations departments in the country. Prior to Best Buy, Driscoll was Managing Director of Investor Relations at Dain Rauscher Corporation in Minneapolis. Prior to that, she served as Managing Director of the public relations function at Dain Rauscher Corporation. Earlier in her career, Driscoll worked at Weber Shandwick Worldwide public relations and as a journalist at a financial trade journal.

Driscoll earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota, and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of St. Thomas, also in St. Paul. She is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), a member of the NIRI Senior Roundtable and a past president of the NIRI Twin Cities chapter.
