EMSL Analytical Adds to a Growing List of Qualifications

EMSL’s commitment to quality testing is well-established and recent news from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) further entrenches the prominent laboratory as a leader and pioneer in the environmental industry. The CPSC which is charged with ‘protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death’ in consumer products that can expose consumers to various hazards including lead and phthalates has contributed to a significant decline in injuries and deaths that can be specifically attributed to consumer products.

The CPSC recently announced that EMSL Analytical is recognized as an accredited laboratory to perform analyses for ‘Lead Paint regulation at 16 CFR Part 1303’ which states, in part, that independent third party laboratories may test ‘children’s products for conformity with the lead paint ban’.

EMSL was extremely pleased to also receive word that that it received recognition as an accredited laboratory to test children’s products to several additional product safety regulations, as identified below:

• Lead Content in Children’s Metal Jewelry, Test Method CPSC-CH-E1001-08
• Phthalate Content, Test Method CPSC-CH-C1001
