Nokia Siemens Networks to open distribution centre in Indonesia

Completes feasibility study, announces plans for a regional redistribution hub

Jakarta, Indonesia - Nokia Siemens Networks plans to increase its operations in Indonesia by setting-up a telecoms equipment distribution hub in the country. The facility will bring new levels of service to the country and neighboring region by reducing delivery times on orders to dynamically support business growth. Nokia Siemens Networks hub will also support the country’s ICT growth targets.

The hub in Indonesia will mark Nokia Siemens Networks’ first such facility within the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN). With the specific objective of supporting volume business in the country and meeting customers’ demand for quicker time to market, the hub will enable Nokia Siemens Networks to expand its mobile and fixed networks capabilities in the country and neighboring region.

Nokia Siemens Networks currently has seven equipment hubs worldwide – in Brazil, China, Dubai, India, Italy, the Netherlands and the US. The hubs function autonomously as their primary objective is to support business in region. However, as part of the company’s global supply chain, they can also be leveraged to aid other hubs as and when the need arises.
