Prediction Leagues, Inc. MMAPL Season 1 Winners Announced Season 2 Starts Saturday April 18 With UFC 97

SAN FRANCISCO, April 15, 2009 – The MMA Prediction League (“MMAPL”), located on the web at www.MmaPredictionLeague.com, is a new website that allows MMA fans around the world to compete for valuable prizes against each other in predicting the outcomes of MMA fights. Users square off against each other in three month seasons, and at the end of each season an MMAPL champion is crowned.

In the inaugural season, which ended on April 1, 2009, over a hundred participants competed for the title of MMAPL Champion. It was a close, competitive season, but ultimately hamnett69 emerged as the winner. For his efforts, hamnett69 will receive a pair of professional leather MMA grappling gloves from Everlast. The first and second runners up – mattraymo311 and Slugger – will also receive prizes.

The MMAPL has just launched Season 2, featuring the UFC 97 fight card this Saturday, April 18, 2009. In the main event, UFC middleweight champion and pound for pound great Anderson Silva will defend his middleweight title against top ranked middleweight contender, Thales Leites.
