EMC SourceOne Email Management optimizes e-mail archiving

Munich, The Efficient E-Mail initiative from Fujitsu Technology Solutions is today extended by another powerful product, EMC SourceOne Email Management. EMC’s next-generation e-mail archiving software files and stores e-mail and instant messages to improve the efficiency of messaging systems, to reduce storage costs, and to improve backup and recovery processes. This addition to the Efficient E-Mail initiative is the latest step in a long partnership between Fujitsu Technology Solutions and EMC to deliver tightly-integrated storage solutions.

EMC SourceOne Email Management delivers sophisticated new functions including direct access to e-mail archives via smartphones such as BlackBerry and Windows Mobile devices, as well as a simple yet powerful Web-based search interface. In addition, the underlying EMC SourceOne architecture provides scalability and high availability, making it a reliable and powerful solution for e-mail archiving within the Efficient E-Mail initiative.

EMC SourceOne Email Management is available to Fujitsu Technology Solutions’ customers from today. Customers with existing service contracts for EMC EmailXtender 4.8 are offered a range of free-of-charge migration options .

Intelligent archiving lightens mailbox loads

The Efficient E-Mail initiative was designed to offer an ideal e-mail infrastructure for Exchange environments. The main focus of this initiative is e-mail archiving, easing the load on Exchange servers and allowing for e-mail management including backup. In addition, companies are able to save and index e-mails, and retain them to document business processes and compliance with legal regulations. With the Efficient E-Mail initiative, Fujitsu Technology Solutions combines modular hardware, software and services for individual solutions.
