Magneti Marelli selects Sierra Wireless embedded modules for telematics product

Sierra Wireless embedded modules and EMConnect™ firmware features integrated in Ford Work Solutions system, providing in-dash Internet access and fleet management for Ford vehicles

VANCOUVER, Canada – Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR - TSX: SW) today announced that Magneti Marelli has selected Sierra Wireless mobile broadband embedded modules with EMConnect™ firmware features for integration into its telematics products developed for safety, entertainment and satellite navigation applications. Magneti Marelli’s telematics product offering with the integrated Sierra Wireless MC5727V embedded module is now available to Ford customers as part of the Ford Work Solutions system, providing high-speed internet access, location based services, and fleet tracking and management capabilities.
