Enhanced Solution Integrates GPS and Navigation Functionalities.

PARIS .- Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading provider of business-to-business wireless enterprise applications and services, today announced the introduction of its OmniOne+ fleet management solution for the European market at the Salon International du Transport et de la Logistique (SITL) Temps Réel 2009 in Paris.

This handheld solution is designed for transport and logistics companies that want to track and communicate with the subcontracted vehicles, as well as with subcontractors using Qualcomm’s FleetVisor™ mobile computing platform. Transport companies can manage subcontractors and access OmniOne+ services via Qualcomm’s FleetVisor Web portal, which allows users to access and manage data and information concerning Qualcomm transportation services from any location through a single user interface and database.

“OmniOne+ is a portable track-and-trace solution enabling transport companies to monitor their customer loads in subcontracted vehicles as if they were in their own fleet,” said Bill Karnazes, managing director of Qualcomm Enterprise Services Europe. “This latest version uses a new handheld device with integrated GPS and navigation capabilities.”

Thanks to this new handheld device, OmniOne+ provides more efficiency to subcontractors. Unlike its predecessor, OmniOne, the OmniOne+ solution does not require separate positioning and navigation equipment. It replaces the OmniOne product, yet retains all of its advantages including portability, ease of use, simple installation, two-way communication between the driver and the hiring company, and load status information.

“Learning how to install and operate the OmniOne+ solution is as easy as with its predecessor,” added Karnazes.

An easy-to-use, handheld device with a convenient, user-friendly touchscreen, the OmniOne+ solution allows contracting companies to notify assigned drivers of any interim freight stops, give drivers additional instructions, and determine the status of the subcontracted deliveries. Additionally, fleets can improve customer service by informing their customers in nearly real-time of any changes in delivery or pick-up times.

The OmniOne+ solution and other Qualcomm solutions are on display at the Qualcomm booth at SITL Temps Réel 2009, Paris-Expo Porte de Versailles, (Pavillon 7.2) Stand L44.
