Dallas-Area Cyclists: Sun & Ski Sports Introduces “Bike University” Mar. 27 & 28, 2009

Dallas, TX – Mar. 24, 2009. . . Dallas cyclists will kick their training into high gear at Sun & Ski Sports’ first-ever “Bike University” Open Houses in the Dallas area. Bike University will be held Friday, March 27 at Sun & Ski Sports on I-75 & Royal, 7 to 10 p.m. in Dallas and Saturday, March 28, 1- 4 p.m. at the Arlington store, 1100 West Arbrook Blvd, next to The Parks Mall. The free Dallas cycling event, open to the public, will feature customized bike fit sessions, cycling courses and hands-on demonstrations to enhance cyclists’ safety and overall bike riding experience.

“Whether you’re a longtime cyclist or brand new to the sport, Bike U provides the latest cycling product information and safety and maintenance clinics that help keep everyone safe on the road,” said Dale Mikulan, Sun & Ski Sports Merchandise Manager-Bikes.

Each day, Sun & Ski Sports’ ‘Bike University’ will feature six 45-minute presentations led by cycling and fitness experts on road safety, general and roadside bike maintenance, bike fit analysis and training, women-specific cycling gear and tips, and road safety and etiquette. The Dallas cycling program will offer the CRM body scanning laser fit and an “on your bike” fit evaluation at Sun & Ski Sports’ customized fit station. Sun & Ski Sports’ permanent fit station customizes the bike’s seat height, cockpit length and knee-to-pedal relationship to allow for the customer’s ultimate comfort and power on his or her bike, enabling them to ride further and faster while expending less energy. There will be cycling-oriented door prize give-aways every two hours.
