Energy Efficient Machines Result in Cleaner Fairways.

CARY, North Carolina .— With the success of its hybrid technology and in response to customer demand, John Deere is introducing the most powerful hybrid models yet: the 7500 and 8500 E-Cut Hybrid Fairway Mowers.

Built on the same platform as the PrecisionCut line of fairway mowers introduced in 2008, the E-Cuts are designed with fewer possible hydraulic leak points to protect fairway appearance. Electric power, which can result in reduced fuel usage and sound levels, is the hallmark of these hybrid mowers which also feature John Deere’s revolutionary Quick Adjust 5 (QA5) cutting units.

“Energy, environmental impact and efficiency – these are the key elements that have shaped our new E-Cuts,” said Gregg Breningmeyer, director of sales and marketing, John Deere Golf. “And recent statistics show that this innovative E-Cut line offers the possibility of up to a 30 percent reduction in fuel costs, making the mowing process even more efficient and cost-effective.”

Offering the power and traction of the PrecisionCut line, the 7500 E-Cut features a 37.1-hp engine and the 8500 features a 43.1-hp engine. For increased hill-climbing ability, the John Deere exclusive GRIP All-Wheel Drive Traction System can be added to either of the mowers. This allows for excellent traction not only when mowing up and down inclines, but on hillsides as well. A servo-controlled hydrostatic drive system provides increased flow to the traction system for more power and better traction in either two-wheel or all-wheel drive.

But these mighty machines also provide the finesse required for exceptional cut quality. A double-acting steering cylinder equalizes right and left pressure, like a riding greens mower, making it easier for operators to hold a straight line and achieve superior striping. The E-Cuts also feature a patented rear-attaching point for the cutting unit yoke, which places force on the rear roller for a more consistent cut height.

To make the job easier and more comfortable, these mowers feature an LED instrument cluster and Sit-on-Seat diagnostics, as well as John Deere’s patented White Box™ Controller for easy troubleshooting. Operators benefit from substantial leg room, a wider platform for optimum pedal spacing and a highly adjustable suspension seat. The command arm is connected to the seat to ensure that controls stay within easy reach, regardless of the operator’s seat adjustments.
