ASB in Hamilton Flying High with Growth and Expansion

WEBWIRE

Growth in Hamilton continues this week with ASB (www.asb.co.nz) opening its sixth branch in the city, supporting Hamilton’s ability to continue to grow in an otherwise difficult market.

ASB opened its first Hamilton branch in 1991. Such was the success of the first branch through superior retail banking, rural base and business service, they are now encouraged to open another Hamilton branch at The Base, the site of the old Waikato Air Force base.

“As the first bank to offer 7 day banking, it’s fantastic that we can now offer this in Hamilton through our new branch at The Base. This new complex offers customers a great shopping and business destination with incredible access thanks to the massive parking area. We’re confident that ASB - The Base is going to be another jewel in the ASB crown, but most importantly, a place our customers love to come to,” says Shayne Jeffcoat, ASB Manager – The Base.

Through the self service lobby, customers can access 24/7 banking, and bank when it suits their schedule. Branch features include a time-saving coin-counting machine particularly useful for the small business market and also appealing to children as they can empty their savings from their Kashin money boxes. The branch also has a change machine, fast deposit and ATM facilities.

“While we are well known as a technology leader and the first bank in Australasia to offer internet banking, it’s all about choice and customers do still want that personal touch,” says Mark Duhig, Central North Island Regional Manager, ASB. “So we’ve developed a branch that can facilitate both by offering automation and personal service for those times when you want to sit down and have a chat and we welcome that. However, if we don’t have the technical staff you need on site, you can access them through our video conferencing allowing customers to connect with ASB specialists throughout the country, face to face. This can be to discuss things like share portfolios, investments, insurances or even cover your forward foreign exchange.”

Branch opening celebrations kick off with a Family Fun Day at the new branch on Saturday 24 January from 9am until 4.30pm. While this will be your first opportunity to visit the branch and take care of your banking needs, this is a Family Fun Day. We will have a free sausage sizzle, ice creams, face painters, a bouncy castle and lots of giveaways.
