Marriott ExecuStay Honors Top Franchise Companies at Annual Conference

Six Companies Recognized for Hospitality Excellence.

Bethesda, MD.- Marriott ExecuStay®, the temporary-housing brand of Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR), honored its top franchisees for 2008 at its sixth annual franchisee conference held October 26-28, 2008 at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC.

The Partnership Circle Award, the highest honor Marriott presents to its owners and franchise partners, was awarded to American Heartland, Inc. of Columbus, OH and was accepted by owners Vicky and Gary Smith. This award is presented to the organization that most exemplifies Marriott’s vision of hospitality. “The American Heartland franchise is so proud to receive the Partnership Circle Award for 2008. Earlier this year we were granted certified Woman-Owned Business status, so this has been a great year for us in many ways,” said Vicky Smith.

American Heartland also received the Customer Service Excellence award for the highest guest satisfaction move-in scores and shared the Customer Service Excellence award for highest guest satisfaction move-out scores with Executive Lodging/CSM Lodging of Minneapolis, MN. These awards were given for outstanding performance and dedication to customer service satisfaction.

The Cross Market Leader award, in recognition of leadership in cultivating relationships with accounts with outbound business potential, went to Mainsail Housing of Tampa, FL and Executive Lodging/CSM Lodging.

The Brand Essence Award, in recognition of the franchise who imparts our core vision to our guests - Live Like a Local®, went to Summit Accommodations of Phoenix, AZ. The ExecuStay 2.0 award, for commitment to technology innovation for the brand, went to Commonwealth Corporates, Inc. of Richmond, VA. The Sales Performance award, for outstanding achievement in key sales indicators, went to Suite Options of Wichita, KS and Executive Lodging/CSM Lodging.
