Pome Fruit Experts Discuss Benefits of Rynaxypyr®

More than 80 pome fruit experts from around the world recently met at the International Rynaxypyr® Pome Fruit symposium in Bolzano, Italy.

The symposium was designed to enable sharing of ideas and information and to deliver the consistent message that DuPont™ Rynaxypyr® works well in pome fruit - every time, everywhere. The attendees, described as the “who’s who of the apple technologists’ world,” presented their trial results on Rynaxypyr® and discussed the role of crop protection products in high-quality food production.

“The customer interaction is great,” said Philip Rollinson, global product manager for insect control. “The DuPont team is making the most of the opportunity to develop relationships and promote Rynaxypyr®.”

Apples are a globally traded crop with exports of nearly five million tons in 2007. Major apple exporters include China, Chili, France, U.S., Poland, New Zealand and South Africa. The key Rynaxypyr® brands for use in pome fruit are DuPont™ Altacor® and DuPont™ Coragen®.
