Delivering Integrated Services, Solutions and Capabilities for a Growing Data Warehousing and Analytics Market

MIAMISBURG, Ohio — Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC), the global leader in data warehousing and enterprise analytics, announced today it has established a strategic alliance with Deloitte to provide comprehensive services and solutions to address organizations’ increasing enterprise data warehousing and information management needs.

Teradata and Deloitte will initially focus on development and delivery of services designed to help companies integrate their financial and operational data within a Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to speed financial reporting and analytics. With additional insight into financial and non-financial drivers, Teradata and Deloitte can help companies improve their ability to manage performance across the enterprise while aligning corporate strategy and on-the-ground execution.

“CFO organizations working with Teradata and Deloitte will be able to expand their visibility into detailed data and performance drivers with substantially improved understanding across multiple levels,” said Darryl McDonald, Teradata chief marketing officer. “This relationship brings together demonstrated leadership in financial intelligence related consulting services and the world’s most powerful enterprise data warehousing technology — to help companies in their efforts to achieve more effective performance management and economic control of their business.”

With complementary market offerings, Deloitte provides organizations with advisory and implementation-related services for enterprise information strategy, architecture and governance, enterprise data management and large-scale IT and finance transformation projects, while Teradata offers leading enterprise data warehousing capabilities and solutions, including the Teradata purpose-built platform family, industry logical data models and solutions for master data management, customer management and profitability, finance and performance management.

The alliance fosters new offerings and capabilities, including the integration of Deloitte’s Enterprise Value Maps, a framework linking shareholder value to actions companies can take to improve such value, with Teradata’s EDW Roadmaps and industry-specific logical data models that can help companies align specific strategic opportunities with information requirements. Together, Deloitte and Teradata will provide integration services and solutions to help companies improve information management and business intelligence for their ERP-sourced initiatives.

“Organizations recognize the strength behind Teradata’s enterprise data warehousing and analytic capabilities,” said Jane Griffin, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP. “Coupled with Deloitte’s cross-functional advisory, assessment, strategy and implementation-related services, this alliance can help companies in their efforts to make better, faster decisions that drive growth and profitability.”

As part of the alliance, Teradata and Deloitte will collaborate on solution development, service offerings and training. In addition, the two companies will explore other areas of mutual opportunity across the business intelligence spectrum of data warehouse-driven solutions.
