The Road to Ready is an hour-long radio show, hosted by emergency manager Rick Tobin. The show will feature a special program on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 12:00 Noon, Pacific Time. The topic will about fatalities in emergencies and disasters. The Road to Ready guest this week is Battalion Chief John P. Ahrens, of the City of Fairfax Fire Department, in Fairfax, Virginia. He is a contributing author about mass mortality in the recently published book, “Pandemic Influenza.”

The Road to Ready will feature a full hour of discussions, ideas, tools, and interviews with one goal: to provide basic concepts about what really happens in mass fatality events and how we should expect to act and plan for the large-scale loss of life in our communities.
