NEC Partners with Premier North American Enterprise Solution Provider Sysix Technologies, LLC to Extend and Strengthen Channel Reach

New Partnership Provides best-in-Class Windows and Linux
Enterprise Platform Solutions to Sysix Enterprise Customers
Santa Clara, Calif. — NEC Corporation of America, a premier provider of IT, network and identity management solutions, today announced a partnership with Sysix Technologies, LLC, a leading provider of mission-critical business technology solutions, to resell NEC’s enterprise-class servers-ideally suited for Windows®, Linux®, and virtualization application environments. The agreement reaffirms NEC’s commitment to expanding the delivery of dynamic IT infrastructure solutions in North America through partners that demonstrate the ability to sell and support enterprise class products. The partnership allows Sysix to leverage NEC’s portfolio of Intel® processor-based enterprise servers, recognized internationally for quality, to meet the wide variety of enterprise customers needs.

The strategic solution provider agreement between the two companies will leverage NEC’s existing Intel Itanium® and Xeon® processor-based server platforms, including NEC’s comprehensive family of highly scalable and reliable Express5800/1000 servers. Leveraging NEC’s world-class supercomputer and mainframe heritage, NEC Express5800/1000 servers represent the third-generation in NEC’s family of highly expandable mid-range and enterprise-class server platforms. The availability of these products through Sysix’s distribution portfolio represents a significant expansion of NEC’s channel and extended reach in the North American market.

This functionality was the first to deliver “on demand” performance for Windows Server 2008 by supporting “hot add” of physical processing resources without the loss of operating system or application state.
