Harris Corporation Names Major General (Ret.) Dennis C. Moran Vice President of Government Business Development for RF Communications

ROCHESTER, NY — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has named Maj. Gen. (Retired) Dennis C. Moran Vice President of Government Business Development for its RF Communications business. In his new role, Gen. Moran will be is responsible for expanding opportunities for Harris with both the U.S. Department of Defense and government customers around the world.

Gen. Moran previously was Vice President/Senior Executive Account Manager for Harris Government Communications Systems. He brings more than 31 years of experience in providing leadership and focus to complex information technology projects. He has an extensive background in program management from his work with the Department of Defense, where he specialized in wide area networks, integration, operations, and management functions. Gen. Moran also has experience in financial management, technical leadership, systems integration and innovation, as well as human resource management.

Prior to joining Harris, Gen. Moran served as Army Major General assigned as Deputy Director for Command, Control, and Computer Systems for the Joint Staff, Pentagon in Washington, D.C. He previously held several leadership positions within the U.S. Army, where he was responsible for managing diverse aspects of the telecommunications services, including Commander of the White House Communications Agency.

Gen. Moran has a master’s of business administration degree from the University of Colorado and holds a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
