Connor Christian & Southern Gothic’s "90 Proof Lullabies" CD Release Party at Smiths Olde Bar, Atlanta - Oct 3

Friends, colleagues, fans and media are invited to attend the CD release party for Connor Christian and Southern Gothic’s brand new CD “90 Proof Lullabies” on Friday, October 3, 2008, 10:00 pm at Smiths Olde Bar, Atlanta, GA. The band will perform songs from the disc and the CD will be available for sale.

Energized by the upcoming election and wanting to see people exercising their right to vote to make a change; Connor and the band have teamed with the “Obama for America” campaign to register attendees to vote at the event. The deadline for the voter registration in the state of Georgia is October 5th.

Influenced by their deep views on America, Connor Christian and Southern Gothic are putting themselves out there like never before with “90 Proof Lullabies”. Every one of the disc’s fourteen soulful, roots-rock flavored songs explore the quest for redemption in everyday life. Collaborating with producer Jeff Tomei (Matchbox 20 and Jerry Cantrell) and mixed by Shawn Grove (Collective Soul, Sevendust), Connor and the band have truly pushed themselves to new heights both as writers and as performers.

“These songs are timely expressions of my experiences with people I meet everyday who are trying to make something out of the hand they were dealt”, say’s Connor. “I try to be realistic, but, we live in a time where it is crucial to pay attention to what’s going on around us… if I can get people to stop and think about it for a minute, well that’s a pretty good start.”

The CD features 14 songs with guest musicians Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke (currently on tour with ZZ Top) and Mark Van Allen of Blueground Undergrass. Mark Van Allen will also be joining Connor and the band on stage at the release party.

The “90 Proof Lullabies” CD will be available for purchase at the release party, and in stores and online (www.connorchristian.com) beginning October 7, 2008.
