Lenovo Locks In Upcoming Intel Anti-Theft Technology

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – Lenovo today announced its intention to ship Intel® Anti-Theft Technology in an effort to help customers address the growing demand for notebook protection and security among business users.

As a leader in notebook security, Lenovo’s next-generation ThinkPad notebook PCs, scheduled for release later this year, will include innovative built-in security capabilities based on Intel® Anti-Theft Technology. Intel® Anti-Theft Technology is a set of security building blocks that will enhance and facilitate ThinkPad notebooks’ industry-leading security features by allowing customers to remotely disable access to end-user data, or disable the PC, if the notebook is stolen or lost.

Combined with Intel® Anti-Theft Technology, Lenovo’s industry-leading hardware security capabilities provide ThinkPad notebook users with greater security and higher tamper-resistance and increased security.
