Taiwan: Citibank Relocates Jung-Li Branch on Its 15th Anniversary

Taipei – A grand relocation celebration event was hosted by Citibank Taiwan Limited at its new Jung-Li branch today.

Speaking at the opening, Victor Kuan, President, Citibank Taiwan Limited said, "On the eve of our 15th anniversary in Taiwan, the relocation and opening of the new Jung-Li Branch is a milestone occasion for Citi in Taiwan.

“This is our first new branch opening, post-Bank of Overseas Bank acquisition, and we are delighted to move to this new address and impressive building that caters to both consumer and small to medium enterprises customers.”

A number of other firsts were also commemorated:

This is the first branch in the Citibank Taiwan network to feature a Citigold Center.
A new Pre-Arrangement Banking Service (PABS) was also launched. Available in 16 markets, PABS leverages Citi’s global network to better meet the banking needs of Citigold clients, in particular, the demand for cross-border transactions for credit card and overseas banking matters. The new service is supported by four global centers located in Singapore, the United States, Mexico and Barcelona.

Mr. Kuan added, “As well as the new service and Citigold Center, this is the first branch to adopt Citi’s Global CORE (Customer Oriented Retail Experience) specifications and features that are designed to create a friendlier, more client-centric banking experience.”

Yunny Lee, Vice President of Retail Banking, Citibank Limited Taiwan added: "The introduction of PABS brings borderless banking to a new level for our customers. It’s significant that we have launched it in Jung-Li and Taoyuan County, because this is a major gateway that connects Taiwan to the rest of the world.

“PABS targets individuals who conduct many overseas transactions, whether for education, personal or professional purposes. With this service they can simply call our Global Support Center in Singapore and speak to one of our Chinese language proficient international customer service representatives who will assist them with a wide range of queries.”

Ms. Lee said the recent Citigold Global Banking service was another product designed to enhance cross-border banking.

“The recently launched Citigold Global Banking program takes financial mobility to a whole new level by enhancing the global banking experience for Citigold clients around the world. This latest offering is already available in Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, India, Korea in Asia and 16 other markets around the world.”
