New Venture to Market Energy Efficiency Products in Middle East

(Brookfield, CT) Donald Moore, Chief Executive Officer of Harmonics Limited LLC (HL), has announced the formation of a new division to market energy efficiency products in Dubai and the Middle East. The new entity, to be called Nuviya, is a joint venture of Harmonics Limited, the leading United States authority on mitigating harmonic currents in power distribution systems, and the Kanaan Group of Dubai which provides alternative energy and energy efficiency solutions to emerging markets.

Nuviya will offer HL’s harmonic suppression technology to the region’s design engineers and facility managers, providing energy saving products and services to both new construction and existing buildings. The venture will be led by Maurice Parets, a certified naval nuclear engineer, formerly of Procter and Gamble and the U. S. Navy. Mr. Parets is a graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, has an MBA from Stanford University and will report to Adel Kanaan, founder and Chairman of the Kanaan group which serves emerging markets.
