MSO4000 Receives Palmarès Technologique Award by Mesures

BEAVERTON, Ore., June 2008 – Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, announced that it has won a Palmarès Technologique award for its MSO4000 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope (MSO4000) from Mesures magazine in France. The MSO4000 received the innovation award in the test and measurement category which was presented at a ceremony in Paris on June 19th, 2008.

The MSO4000 family of mixed signal oscilloscopes combine three powerful capabilities — an advanced real-time oscilloscope and logic analyzer, and the breakthrough Wave Inspector waveform search engine — into one small and lightweight portable device for embedded design and debug. These allow engineers to conveniently visualize and correlate analog and digital signals on a single instrument. The MSO4000 family includes four models ranging from 350 MHz to 1 GHz, with two or four analog channels and 16 digital channels to provide up to 20 time-correlated channels. More information about the MSO4000 can be viewed at: http://www.tek.com/products/oscilloscopes/mso4000/index.html.

“The Tektronix MSO 4000 series of mixed signal oscilloscopes was one of the first to integrate 4 analogue channels, 16 digital channels and a 10.4” diagonal screen in a box just 14 cm deep,” saidYoussef Belgnaoui, editor of Mesures. “ Combining the functions of analogue and digital analysis in a compact instrument is an interesting option for electronic engineers.”

“We’re honored to receive the Palmarès Technologique award from Mesures. The MSO4000 sets a new benchmark in usability and performance for engineers,” said Bob Bluhm, vice president and general manager, Value Scope Product Line, Tektronix. “The MSO4000 has many industry-best features and receiving this award reinforces and recognizes this.”

The Palmarès Technologique awards are an annual event and this is the 13th year that they have run. In total there are ten categories of test and measurement equipment and the Mesures editorial team select the most innovative product from each category over the course of the year.
