Communication Advocacy Network Hosts Pizza Night

East Hartford, April 22, 2008: Communication Advocacy Network (CAN) hosts its Pizza Night event at the Hartford Club of the Deaf this coming Saturday, April 22, 2008 at 6 PM. CAN is pleased to offer pizza and refreshments in hope to bring all deaf, hard of hearing, deaf blind, late deafened people and friends together for social.

CAN will announce a final prize drawing to thank people who filled out Demographics, Advocacy and Legal surveys. Sprint Relay will offer a brand new Blackberry Curve to the winner. CAN will offer either of DVD portable player or digital camera to the winner who will decide to opt one prize.

Since some people inquired about the survey results, CAN will give a presentation about the summary of responses from people in Connecticut.

The nonprofit organization company’s previous activities covered some interviews and research in order to gather findings and information on whether there are adequate services and programs in serving the deaf and hard of hearing community. Board of Directors and committee member will be there to meet and share some findings.
This event will give people the opportunity to understand and share the ideas and suggestions. There will be no charge for admission.

The Communication Advocacy Network Corporation (CAN) was incorporated on April 29, 2005 in Connecticut as a non-profit charitable organization to address the rights and needs of Deaf, Hard-of Hearing, Deaf-Blind, and Late Deafened children and adults from all walks of life. CAN’s primary purpose is to advocate for the D/deaf and ensure those services most citizens take for granted are accessible to all citizens.
